Bob Shafer spoke to the club. Bob is the current owner and operator of the Tyrone Mill as well as an active member of Scout Canada.

Bob is extremely passionate about scouting. It has been in his blood since he was a child. He grew up with scouting in the United States, but made the move to Canada where he hoped that he could carry on some part of scouting with his children.

Bob has been with the scouting movement in Canada for the better part of 20 years. His tenure with the organization in a volunteer role only proves his dedication to the values and principles that the organization holds.

Scouting started in Canada over 102 years ago. The Scouts has been co-ed now for 10 years. The organization helps to deliver programs for youths in the communities in which they serve.

As the scouting participants get older and develop more experience in the clubs they begin to take on more responsibility with in the organization. One of the most important things about Scouting is the bonds that form among the kids. These bonds last for generations and have no geographical boundaries.

As well, scouting teaches the participates about giving back to the community. This is an integral part of scouting as it tries to create a positive image of community and volunteering.

Ace of Hearts 50/50 Draw

The draw this week was for $2,700.00. Fred M drew the jack of hearts. The crowd went nuts again. The pot lives for another week. Better luck next time!!!
Remember you can't win if you don't buy a ticket. Good luck!
