Our Club is contributing in the reconstruction in Afghanistan by providing $250 to build a school.

Ross M went to visit Al Strike and he hopes to be back in a few weeks.

Dance and Silent Auction Meeting resulted in Lyle taking charge of the "donors and sponsors list". He is adamant that the abysmal 17% success rate of responses improves this year. Greater participation is going to be required from us all this year. Contact Lyle about any special collection requests that you may have. Director Don added things are going along fine. Pauline has taken on the job of publishing and distributing tickets. This year's theme is strictly "The Elegant Evening".

The contact list for the rotary auction went out. Please do not contact anyone that is not on your list. Bring your product to Clarington Toyota.

Greg Ashby visited the club. He was speaking on behalf of GO Transit. Greg informed us of the changes coming to GO. There is a new GO station planned for Bowmanville and Courtice. At first the stations would run at a reduced capacity, but would ramp up activity as demand dictated. As well Greg inform the club of the changes coming to the existing Oshawa GO station and the addition of another at Ritson Rd. There is also a new train depot coming to Whitby this would create upwards of 600 new jobs. The whole project is expected to exceed the current price tag of $600 million.

Ace of Hearts 50/50 Draw

The draw this week was for $3,172.00. Fred D drew the 7 of diamonds. The crowd went nuts again. The pot lives for another week. Better luck next time!!! Remember you can't win if you don't buy a ticket. Good luck!
