Ross M went to visit Al Strike and he hopes to be back in a few weeks.

Dance and Silent Auction Meeting resulted in Lyle taking charge of the "donors and sponsors list". He is adamant that the abysmal 17% success rate of responses improves this year. Greater participation is going to be required from us all this year. Contact Lyle about any special collection requests that you may have. Director Don added things are going along fine. Pauline has taken on the job of publishing and distributing tickets. This year's theme is strictly "The Elegant Evening".

The contact list for the rotary auction went out. Please do not contact anyone that is not on your list. Bring your product to Clarington Toyota.

Nancy Shaw spoke on behalf of Proaction Cops and Kids.

The program originated in Toronto and the Durham chapter is the first outside of Toronto. Funding comes from organizations and private donations. It is a registered charity with a connection to the DRPS. The group raises money and then makes it available to police officers to use to fund programs for at risk kids. The cops also create community awareness and raise the profile of police in the community. There has been lots of positive response from children and police officers saying that the programs are a success.

Ace of Hearts 50/50 Draw

The draw this week was for $3,247.00. Linda M drew the 9 of clubs. The crowd went nuts again. The pot lives for another week. Better luck next time!!! Remember you can't win if you don't buy a ticket. Good luck!
