This year's annual Rotary Golf extravaganza will be held at the Stonehenge Golf Club, 3033 Taunton Rd., Bowmanville, followed by a fellowship BBQ party at Jason Van Stiphout's house, 3081 Pollard Rd., Newcastle. Here's what you need to know: Golf
We've reserved a block of tee times starting at 1:00 pm. It is a 9 hole event and the cost is $24 if you walk or $32.50 if you ride, payable at the course. Each 4ball group can choose which format they wish to play, i.e. best ball, own ball, wearing mittens, playing in the nude etc...(although if you choose that last option, please alert me beforehand so I can make ensure that I'm off the course by the time you tee off)
BBQ
Starts at 5:30 pm and is $20 per head for a meal similar to what we had last year at Don Hutton's place. Beef, chicken, salads, maybe some local corn and all the fixins'.
I'm not sure how much booze (if any), is left over from RibFest so BYOB.
Also, there will be paper plates and plastic cutlery provided, however feel free to bring your own plates and cutlery if you like. Jason will be happy to do the dishes for you, once we've plied him with copious amounts of scotch and cigars (although we can't be held responsible for any damages, so don't bring Aunt Beryl's fine china).
Guests are more than welcome so please let me know asap if you're coming and if you're bringing a guest for golf only, BBQ only or for both.
It's going to be fun!
Thanks,
Mike D.
