On Saturday May 2, 2015 President Gord Wallace, President-Elect Steve Code, and Rotarian Lyle Goodin attended the District 7070 District Assembly. The Opening Plenary Session offered updates by DG Brian Thompson on his year as DG and by others on the End Polio Now campaign, the up-coming 2018 Rotary International Convention to be held in Toronto, the 2015 Foundation walk, the 2015 District Conference, and DGE Michael Bell's goals for 2015-2016.

Following a break, participants attended two Breakout Sessions on such topics as:
1:  Rotary Club Central
2:  Grant Management
3:  Fundraising
4:  The Pulse - Why I joined Rotary; why I stayed
5:  Leadership at your Club and Beyond
6:  Club Runner - Secretaries and Treasurers
7:  Membership Success Stories
8:  Promoting your Club - Media and Social Media
9:  Rotaract and Interact

Following a delicious lunch, the 2015-2016 budget was presented and, following a number of probing questions, the Presidents-Elect were asked to approve it.  The Key Note presentation was about the 2015 Polio journey to India for four 7070 Rotarians, including DG Brian Thompson and his wife.  The Assembly ended  with a review of a 7070 Rotarian's Kilimanjaro Climb and a presentation on the new End Polio Now Club.

The highlight of the Assembly for President Gord Wallace occurred when Dr. Bob Scott chose to sit with him during the afternoon sessions.
