On Marcy 23, 2021 the Community Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Bowmanville was pleased to present a cheque for $1,000 to Mr. Ray Bond to support the Community Assisted Meal Program. Mr. Bond and his volunteers offer lunch and dinner take-away meals to the homeless, and those suffering from food insecurity, in Oshawa. During a typical day the program will provide over 100 lunches and slightly fewer dinners to those in need. The program practices safe distancing and the wearing of masks while picking up the meal.
